MEET THE STAFF

Dr.Cynthia Skiba
Dentistry was a natural profession for me as I was raised in a dental family. My father, Dr. Gerald Skiba practiced dentistry for 57 years in Alpena, Michigan. I am the oldest of 7 children. I began my dental career as a dental hygienist, practicing for 17 years before returning to school. U of M is my alma mater although most of my undergrad studies took place at MSU. My hobbies include raising and showing Labrador Retrievers, gardening, cross country skiing, mountain biking and enjoying my husband’s wonderful cooking.

Tom Bushey, Business Manager
Dr. Skiba and I have been married since 1988. My work for the practice includes building repair, payroll, 401K planning, and financial review and planning. My hobbies include fly fishing, cooking, and furniture making. And, in my spare time, I work full time for Kelly Technical on assignment at Dow Chemical in Engineering Solutions as a Small Project Coordinator providing support for plant upgrade projects.

Cheryl Wellnitz, Office Manager
I was born and raised in Bay City, MI. I have been married since 1976 and have 3 children and 3 grandchildren. I graduated from Delta College with a degree in medical assiting and have 31 years experience in this field. When I am not at the office I am spending time with my husband, children, grandchildren, dogs, golfing or doing stained glass. I love dentistry and helping people change their lives with new bright smiles.

Candy Store, R.D.H. (Hygienist)
I was born and raised on the western shore of Lake Superior. I have 2 children, one who has just graduated from Michigan State University and one who is at Northern Michigan University. I've been working in the medical field since 1988, but in hygiene since 2000. I enjoy skiiing, hiking and ATV's.

Stephanie Tait, R.D.H. (Hygienist)
I was born and raised in Lapeer. I moved to Midland 6 years ago. I graduated from Lapeer East High School in 1991. Then I went to attend Mott Community College. I graduated in 1995, where I received an Associates degree in Applied Science and an Associates degree in Dental Hygiene. I have been practicing Dental Hygiene for 12 years. I am also married and have 2 beautiful children. My favorite past times are spending time with my family, my dog, camping and biking.

Valerie Anne Migut, Dental Assistant
I was born and raised in AuGres, MI. I currently live in Saginaw Township. I have 2 children, a son Cole 8 years old and a daughter Haley 5 years old. I started Dental Assisting while still in High School. I went to Bay Arenac Career Center for 2 years. I also took Dental Assisting at Delta College. I have been in the Dental Field for 12 years. My hobbies are anything outdoors, most of all softball.

Sarah Fath, Dental Assistant
I was born and raised in Saginaw. I currently live in Midland with my husband. I worked for Dr. Skiba in 2000 and then moved to Texas for four
years. I came to Michigan to be closer to my family. I worked in Saginaw for 3 1/2 years as a dental assistant before coming back to Dr. Skiba's
office.
